This spring and summer the Harveys shoe department fronted by Val, has so much more to offer than any other season on the floor. There’s a true mixture of open toed sandals, mixed with summer ankle boots which are new for 2011 right through to flip flops, diamante evening heels and the all important holiday shoe. Both Fly of London and Laidback London’s new collections introduce yellows and browns, with blues and blacks, purples and silver. For Fly of London the range predominantly sees stunning wedges for all shapes of feet, whereas Laidback London are about pure comfort through and through, their leather sandals have beautiful intricate beading. Even though the majority of shoe designers this year are leaning towards the neutral black tones, a few are adding silvers and greys into the mix, so that collections stand out. One of Harveys younger brands, Rocket Dog starts at £27.99, which for a summer staple in a pair of shoes isn’t a bad price at all, and Rocket Dog’s focus is on the urban trend setter whether that be a youthful teenager, to a busy town worker or a thirty something mum, this collection is perfect. The new brand J Shoes has landed instore and to great demand. The lightweight wood and leather shoe encompasses all that an up-coming new designer brand should offer in both class and style. We think that J Shoes give a little added extra to the department, and they start at £50. Summer’s grand range of Switch Flop has revealed a number of new styles to compliment the old designs, with trims starting at £4.99 and the Switch Flop themselves ranging from £19.99 - £49.99 this is a summer buy that can be updated daily. Truly brilliant for holidays, one pair of Switch Flops and three or four trims and the suitcase is made lighter in seconds. The Scholl shoe has developed over the years into one of the most well-known brands in the world, and this season has shown us why. With traditional Scholl sandals, through to flatter, more lightweight designs and for 2011 the introduction of wedges into the mix gives the Halifax Scholl wearer something new and exciting for their precious hard working feet, whilst knowing all along that Scholl is an excellent brand for comfort and style. Scholl designs start at £35.00. For any advice on correct shoe sizes, on width of shoes or just on what style could be recommended with what clothing the she department girls will be on hand to answer any questions or queries.
