Ladies Fashion

The Ladies Fashion area spans across three floors, where ladies can browse for their favourite clothing all year round.

This spring and summer sees the return of pinks and lilacs, light blues and pastel shades sitting alongside the dramatic blacks and whites from the key designers.  There’s a full mix of fashion across the floors including separates, evening wear, summer staples and casual chic, and there’s something for all ages and size.

With the youth amazing collections from Numph, Soaked in Luxury, and Levi’s, there’s a new wardrobe staple for every taste.  The cuts and designs of this season are all about shape and curves.  Levi’s offers a ‘What’s my Curve’ evaluation to prove that every woman has curves, and Gerry Weber, Fenn Wright Manson and Kate Cooper are showing girly pretty 50s styles in reds, pinks and black and white.  All giving our female hips a boost in confidence.

The Joules area within the Ground Floor has opened recently with the traditional ladies spring casual basics, but with a glamorous twist, the designs include spots and stripes, with pinks, greens, reds and browns taking a prominent place.  Ladies tweed riding jackets are a must and Joules has one of the best, and there’s a stunning tweed dark blue waistcoat that would sit perfectly with the tweed jacket.

Also in the Joules area there the brand new children’s wear of boys and girls fashions that incorporate t-shirts, shirts and casuals for boys, with dresses and jackets for girls.  Again there are plenty of polka dots and stripes and a few florals for the girls, whereas the boys are all about braces, turquoise and reds.  And not forgetting the children’s dinosaur ‘hobbyhorse’ style toy, that even makes dinosaur noises.

New brand Viz-aViz that has perfect positioning alongside Dash and Tigi brings a little of the higher end leisurewear to the floor with dresses, skirts, trousers and tops, all with the string theme of pure comfort. Think of boating down the river and you’ve got Viz-a-Viz in mind.

Dash this spring and summer boasts coral and khaki as the trend in a more casual way, and Tigi has gone nautical with an element of silver buckles.  Both brands encompass relaxed style with t-shirts, tops and cardigans along with leisure trousers, gilets and jackets.

For ladies that are used to wearing Eastex and Minuet then this season won’t disappoint.  Lilacs, greys and faun with denim blues and whites are what Eastex are showcasing.  Whereas Minuet has opted for pastel shades in pinks and dove, pale blues and turquoise.  There’s an added surprise of light greens and limes for both designers this spring and summer.

Gelco, Ubu and Marble boast outdoor jackets, funky brights, and printed t-shirts and tops within their seasonal offering.  And, both David Barry and Klassie are sticking with whites, pinks, limes and greens for their clothing range this year.

Adini, Tivoli and Olsen have reverted to some vintage cottons and casual chic designs for there clothing range.  A full mix of florals and spots work well in the collection alongside the bright corals and pinks of Adini.  Tivoli has gone back to the old-days of blacks, whites and greys with all their tops and skirts.  Olsen has included lemon into their designs and all are very understated styles.

One of the new brands to Ladies Fashion is Wolsey Ladies, and they’ve gone distinctly preppy with the grey, purple, lilac and pink knitwear for 2011.  Pretty, feminine and with an excellent finish, Wolsey Ladies is sure to be a Harveys hit.

Looking at CC and their Windsor collection with reds, navy and blue you’d think that they are fully nautical this season, but with the La Dolce Vita collection you’d think differently as it boasts pinks, whites and golden hues.  One of CCs outstanding designs for this season is 5th Avenue, which is a true dressier style in blacks and ivory. Idea for the races or something special.
