Harveys of Halifax offers a wide range of bedding, bed care, bathroom goods, linens, table decorations and home comforts within Harveys Home department in the basement.

Original, traditional and neutrals are the autumn winter 2009/2010 seasonal styles, with a lean towards pretty patterns from core brand First Avenue.

Duvets can be found in goose down, feather down, and the well-known branded Fogarty one hundred percent snow goose range with pillows to match.  

A large emphasis this season is on curtains and bedroom accessories that include cushions of all shapes and sizes.

One of the larger parts of the store leads into ‘bathroom’ where customers can find a selection of towels (of all sizes), shower curtains, soap dishes, bath mats, unusual soaps and deliciously scented bath fizzes.

Also alongside the linens and bathroom stocks are kitchen tea towels, cooks aprons and oven gloves.  A number of customers travel far and wide to buy the original Polidri tea towel, which is famous for it’s ‘checks’ and has sold the same high quality product for over 40 years.  

The linens team can offer thread count, brand, and style advice on any product within their department and will be happy to help any customer in need.

the Cookshop

Not many people walk past the cookshop window of Harveys of Halifax without wandering in to see what new cookware is in store.

Continuing with the stores new seasonal purchases the cookshop has a large range of pots, pans, crockery, cutlery, salt & pepper sets, utensils, knives, jars, storage units and general kitchen necessities.  And a wide selection of electrical goods are also offered including toasters, kettles, whisks and food mixers, with the odd gadget thrown in for the person who has everything.

Famous stocked brands include T&G, Kitchen Kraft, Bodun, Cellar Dine, Jamie Oliver and Kenwood, with the Le Creuset, Culinare and JML ranges always proving to be good collections for every day use.

Classical, contemporary, designer and practical drinking glasses can also be found within the cookshop sitting alongside decanters.

The team within the department can offer advice on all cookshop products and will be happy to do so.
